If something as small as a minor leak can have such a big impact, imagine how much water and resources are being wasted in other ways. At Beachwood Apartments, we are aware of how the small things we do impact the environment, and we are committed to doing our part to take care of it.

Saving Water

We know that Southern California can experience dry summers, so we are careful with how much water we use. Our drought-tolerant landscaping focuses on plants that don’t require much water. In addition, we have installed a drip irrigation system and limit the amount of grassy areas that could require watering. With these measures in place, we save gallons of water per day. 

We also save water indoors with our low-flow toilets . While regular toilets use about 3.5 gallons of water each time they flush, our eco-friendly toilets use about 20 percent less, which can add up to 13,000 gallons of water saved per year.

Reducing Paper and Plastic

At Beachwood Apartments, we have all of our communications and payments online, including service requests, rent payments, applications, and notices—online. This is not only convenient for our residents, but it reduces unnecessary paper waste. 

In our community, we strive to provide quality services to help make your life as a resident a little easier. Visit our new resident portal to pay your rent online, enter a maintenance service request, browse our calendar for upcoming activities, and much more! 

Next, we reduce plastic waste by having water bottle filling stations throughout the property so residents don’t need disposable plastic bottles.

Promoting Recycling

One of the best ways to live an eco-friendly lifestyle is to recycle. We have recycling bins in our office, and we encourage all residents to recycle as well. Items you can recycle include plastic bottles and containers, empty cans, paper, and flattened cardboard. However, you cannot recycle food, liquid, plastic bags, plastic wrap, or cups with wax or plastic coating. 

Here in Anaheim, you can take your recycling to Anaheim Recycling Center . This small change in habit can make a big difference for our planet.

We’re Excited to Announce Organic Waste Recycling!

Organic waste recycling will be coming soon to our local community, and we can’t wait to participate! This initiative will help keep millions of pounds of food waste out of landfills and turn them into compost and renewable natural gas.  We’ll keep you up to date as this program expands throughout the state.
